Dear Dr. Joseph:

I am writing this letter to you today to acknowledge and thank you for the wonderful care you have provided to me since I first went to see you. I found that you were attentive, a good listener and very passionate about your work.

As you know, I had a spinal fusion performed by you on 08/27/2024 and I am home recuperating from that procedure. I did not know a whole lot about spines or bones or cages or screws when I first went to see you. All I knew is that I had awful pain was so debilitating that I was unable to work or even enjoy social life as I could not sit in the car for more than 20 minutes.

I knew you were considered tops in your field but there are always fears and apprehension about such a large undertaking with a bone graft. I have never felt such pain, even with my kidney surgery, but 5 weeks out, the pain is better and more manageable.

You are such a skilled doctor and I want to than Dr. Craythorn for sending me to you as I was ready to give up after 1 year at Florida Ortho, My lucky day. I am a member of support group for spinal fusion patients and some of the horror stories are terrifying and I often get tears in my eyes for their suffering. In my case, I have been truly blessed by our Lord and Savior to have had you.

I would also like to thank Nancy and Melissa in your office. Nancy was my angel while I was at HCA. She never got angry or short with me when I was complaining about bladder, having to have blood units and/or why did I have so much pain? She simply said, Trust God, you had the best doctor and you will soon be well. By the time I saw you for the removal of my staples, I was so much better and every day getting better.

Melissa made it possible for me not to have go and wait 2 hours at Tower by setting up my post-op x-rays for me at HCA Memorial so my husband could park and I would be in there in 20 minutes or less. They, the hospital, were outstanding and under separate cover, I have written Mr. Ned Hill all about the staff and nurses.

I have don’t have any more except THANK YOU THANK YOU Dr. Joseph for following God’s will for your life and making our lives better. I am looking forward to seeing you in December for my follow-up and hope to be doing better. I am not driving yet out of fear or being hit, but I will be there before Christmas with cookies for your staff. They are all kind and highly responsible people.
