I have a very serious spine injury to my 3rd & 4th lumbar. Due to age surgery is not an option. I was in constant pain. It was nearly impossible to do normal everyday activities it would take nearly all day to do the simplest of tasks, make up bed, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc.' standing for more than 5 minutes was the worst. After receiving an ESI injection from Dr. Nguyen at Joseph Spine within 48 hours my back was much better by the 3rd day my pain level had dropped from a 10 to 2, which is where I am at today 2 weeks after receiving the injection. After being unsuccessful in finding the “right” doctor who focused on the spine, it was a blessing when another doctor recommended Dr. Nguyen (pronounced “Wen”) and the Joseph Spine Institute to me.  For several months, I had been suffering from various painful back pains and was very happy to have met Dr. Nguyen and to know that he was the “right one” for me.

At our first meeting, I found him to be a good listener who understood what I was saying.  He did not rush, but acted accordingly, which made me feel completely at ease with him.  I provided the necessary paperwork and test results, and he concluded that I needed to have two Kyphoplasty procedures.  One was for the lower back, and the other was for the upper back.  During both procedures, I was awake and chatted with the accompanying team.  I was pain-free following each procedure.

His team, which consisted of a Nurse Practitioner, a surgery scheduler, and other qualified, experienced assistants, was highly trained and able to maintain professionalism.  I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen and his team for spinal problems.

I am writing this letter to you today to acknowledge and thank you for the wonderful care you have provided to me since I first went to see you. I found that you were attentive, a good listener and very passionate about your work.

As you know, I had a spinal fusion performed by you on 08/27/2024 and I am home recuperating from that procedure. I did not know a whole lot about spines or bones or cages or screws when I first went to see you. All I knew is that I had awful pain was so debilitating that I was unable to work or even enjoy social life as I could not sit in the car for more than 20 minutes.
