With a diverse clinical background spanning emergency medicine, orthopedic care, and sports medicine, Marcell Valentine brings extensive expertise and compassionate care to the Joseph Spine Institute team.

Marcell began his career as a Certified Athletic Trainer, completing internships with the New York Jets and New York Giants and later serving as Strength & Conditioning Coach and Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Baltimore Orioles. That foundation in sports medicine and injury prevention developed into a focused interest in spine and musculoskeletal health.

As a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner, Marcell integrates athletic performance knowledge with advanced clinical training to deliver patient-centered care emphasizing injury prevention, optimized recovery, and long-term spinal health. He has extensive emergency department and critical care leadership experience at AdventHealth and HCA Hospitals, providing high-acuity care and participating in multidisciplinary coordination and quality improvement.

Marcell’s urgent care and orthopedic exposure, combined with emergency/critical care leadership, enables a practical, evidence-based approach to evaluating and treating spine and musculoskeletal conditions—helping patients return to their highest level of activity.
